LET HER BE

COVERED

headship,scarf,woman worship in silence

Let her be covered...

by: Scott Roberts (minister)

Study of the Headship taught in 1 Corinthians 11 and how God commands the woman to be covered in the assembly and silent.

The Covering shows her subjection to her head ( The Man) and if she removes that covering it is a shame and she might as well shave her head. When she wears the covering she is showing her subjection to the man and is showing the headship established by God.

The headship is God over Christ over Man over Woman.

The religious world feels this commandment was only for the Corinthian Church but Paul Taught the same thing in ALL CHURCHES- and 1 Corinthians was written for all Christians everywhere

1 Cor 4:17

who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

1 Cor 1 – Written to Church at Corinth and to all Christians

Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

Others feel the covering is an outdated command. But how could the Headship of God over Christ over Man over Woman be outdated?

She is also to be silent and if she learn anything let her ask her husband at home.

1 Cor 11: 5-6

5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

1 Cor 14: 34-35

34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

1 Tim 2:11

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
